The Popular Show Season Four Unveils the Soldiers Group

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a wide array of personalities, and a exciting storyline featuring angels, demons, and dark forces increasing in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Key plot points for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Combat-Oriented Party Revealed

Episode 3 ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the first table of characters who will split off from the main group to embark on their separate journey, distinct from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (played by Travis), Thimble (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Considering 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that having everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

Hence, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, weaving together the personal journeys before branching into three separate parties: Warriors, Planners, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Combat Party

Per the DM, the warrior group is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are scarce.

At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might seem out of place, but the events of the latest installment show why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the party knows exactly where to proceed after a intense opening clash with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated the foes for his personal gain, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, striking the rogue, and stealing all the powerful objects to sell off.

The antagonist then cleared his debts and fled to a fortified location in the northern region, north of the urban center, with Cyd close behind.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and closest confidant, wants revenge.
  • Kattigan has experience in Timmony and advises that it is a hostile environment.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead freed him, have no safe haven.
  • However, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could assist the group access areas they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter swore a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now go with him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are wanted by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making remaining behind too risky:

  • Thimble and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and The healer betrayed House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This means them little choice but to travel to the remote area in search of Casimir.

What’s Next?

From episode three’s post-show segment, we learn that the combat party will not appear next week, leaving the rest of the players to round up the Explorers and Schemers groups.

Viewers can expect learning which characters will be in which group in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
